The Butterfly Garden

Today we went to visit a butterfly garden. After lunch at the food court on base, we set out with the GPS for a small town about an hour away. We enjoyed the scenic drive despite the windy roads, but got a bit concerned when the GPS announced we were at our location and there was no sign of a butterfly garden. With some help from a few locals, we got to the next town where we came across signs with a butterfly -which we followed up a dirt road to a dead in on the side of the mountain. oops! The trip back down - in reverse - was a bit high stress, but we eventually pulled up to the garden 10 minutes before closing time. They let us in and we actually were there almost an hour and a half admiring the butterflies, turtles, fish, bugs and dinosaurs (iguanas). There was even a playground to enjoy before getting back in the car to head home. After bedtime, the grown ups worked on getting Cody and me ready to leave for Rome the next morning and Laura ready to juggle the four girls for 3 days.
